8/6/2023 0 Comments Owly iphoneI have always wanted to try Decoupage, I’ve seen some lovely examples online and I must say that the Drawer Dividers I did previously were the motivation for trying it out properly. My mother-in-law got me a really thoughtful gift for my birthday, a years subscription to a Craft Magazine. As part of my ongoing organisation process, I wanted a nice place to keep all my magazines together, but me being me, a plain old box file just wouldn’t do, so I took a wee detour to Hobbycraft and picked up some Decopatch papers (handy 25% discount for Hobbycraft members too at the moment). Hello, its been a while, I’ve had several projects ongoing recently and I’ve finished a few of them all at once, so depending on how much time the baby lets me have, I should have updates on what I have been working on in quick succession. I don’t do much measuring when crafting, I tend to judge things by eye, more often than not, this was no exception. Getting started, I covered my cheap clear phone cover with a layer of Mod Podge, and placed a pre-cut scrap of material on to the glued case. I got these with the intention of making a peg bag, I now want to make a lightweight nappy bag too, to match my fabulous phone, have loads of fabric left, so plenty of possibilities to get creative. The fabric was from Hobb圜raft, Fat Quarters Owl six pack, 45” by 55”. What’s the worst that could happen right? I wanted to see how well Mod Podge did with the cheap, clear plastic phone cover I picked up from Asda, and using fabric, instead of decoupage paper. I completed this cover back in April, shortly after I discovered my love of Decoupage, I wasn’t allowed to do our coffee table, (boo) so I focused my attention on something smaller, using different media. Daddy has very kindly volunteered his time this morning, to give me a window to write. So much for speedy updating, baby has decided that naps are for wimps, meaning I have not had a lot of time at all. Hi all, so I said I had a few projects that I had finished up recently and wanted to share.
